A lot of people watch movies and shows, a lot of people play video games.

And some people like mindless repetition.

Regardless, my comment that the majority of the plots and storylines are equally formulaic still stands.

Games are also like movies and shows in another regard. Some you only/play watch once. A few you may play a few times, and a very, very few will you ever go back to consistently.

Most are dropped and forgotten once the novelty s is gone, and that's probably one of the biggest reasons why most people drop them as they get older.
