Agree to a point. If you can have thin AND performance AND adequate battery life then by all means do so.

But if you’re buying a desktop machine and paying for a Max or Ultra then you’re probably doing so with the need and expectation of getting a lot more performance for your money.

And if that’s the case then having those chips throttled and limited simply so that we never, ever hear any fan noise whatsoever…

Well, to me that’s a bad thing.
