Regardless, Japan's aggression in Asia and the Pacific well predates those events, going well back into 1931.

They were already at war. The military had effective control over the country. And, like Germany, the were firmly convinced of the superiority of the Japanese race and that it was destined to rule over all of Asia and the Pacific.
And IIRC, planning for the actual Pearl Harbor attack started in earnest in 1940, which again tends to argue against any of those actions "forcing" Japan's hand in the matter.
