Because we have so many, many, many wind turbines... compared to all of the houses, apartments, office buildings, stores, and skyscrapers all blocking and/or impeding the flow of wind.

Not to mention minor things that already stick up out of the ground like trees and those big things... what are they again? Oh, yeah. Mountains.

But you're right, I was being sarcastic. Especially in light of the idea that a few wind turbines turning in the wind would have an appreciable effect on a spinning mass of 1.317 × 10²⁵ lbs.
