Came across this pertaining to the last election cycle, but I think it works here too.

The arc of the moral universe is long... but it bends toward justice.

It's just that the closer you get to the end of that arc, the more you notice that it's not a smooth line. It doubles back and whips back and forth.

We need to grab onto the end of that line, hold onto it, and keep pulling it towards justice.

It doesn't happen on its own.
