Weel, does the larger vehicle mass of an F-150, Silverado, Escalade, or Yukon cause additional wear of the exterior / under belly of the vehicle that induces those components to fail unexpectedly?

Put that way you could probably answer your own question. You design the suspension, shocks, etc, with the vehicle's mass/weight in mind.
