Enough value that 21 thousand people follow him to order to see more and keep reading what he has to say.

I wrote a piece on ChatGPT and "Regurgitated Content" where I said that I can pretty much tell when someone is just posting to be posting, and who basically has nothing new or interesting to say.

I don't follow those people. Actually, I usually mute them.

But I do follow people who interest me and who I think DO have something to say.

Those are the people who keep me on Medium.

Those are the people who keep me subscribing.

One more thing, I'm an iOS developer and I write on Medium. Been here a few years now, with 13K followers. Not great. Not bad.

Most of the stuff I write is technical, long form work that's more evergreen than most, so I tend to get a lot of value from my "tail".

That's dropped off in August. In fact, total earnings are down to just 30% of July.

Seriously hope we get the algorithm stuff worked out.

At any rate, thanks for letting me bend you ear. ;)
