Extinction? Probably not. Much, much, much less habitable? Probably.
Assuming, of course, that you don't have an environmental collapse based on declining phytoplankton due to oceanic temperature increases.
Or we don't end up bankrupt from continually attempting to rebuild homes and infrastructure ravaged by ever increasing storms, floods, fires, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
Funny how in the last few years we've been seeing more and more of those "hundred year" events, isn't it?
Then again, not so funny if you're one of those residents in Florida or Houston where it seems to be occurring a lot more frequently.
And curious how people are going to be "richer" when half the jobs they've depended upon are destroyed...
