From my perspective we simply need more charging infrastructure. But... and that's a big but, not all of it needs to be fast charging.

It's a lot easier to start adding L2 chargers at restaurants, stores, workplaces, parking garages, and so on such that you're always topped off, and reserve the fast chargers for trips and other cases.
