I have a Gazelle CityZen T10 for which I paid just over $2K, or 1/7th the cost of this bike. It too is a 28MPH commuter bike with front suspension (I added my own suspension seat post for $200.)

For $14K you can buy electric motorcycles with more speed, range, and capabilities.
