I prefer to think of it as, "... once you start down the dark path, forever it will consume your destiny."

Transitioning from procedural to OOP took a bit of time before the "aha" moment struck. Moving from pure OOP to POP was easier. Integrating functional/reactive also took awhile things clicked.

But looking at one side from the other doesn't make a lot of sense to some people. You have to use it enough to figure out where it shines and where it doesn't.
