I shudder to think of the amount of interface code one would need to write to handle a complex view and view model.

Worse, it strikes me as the kind of brain-dead boilerplate code one writes on autopilot, and in which it's way, way to easy to introduce bugs into the process...

I mean, I get it. But it's not pretty.
