I watched an 8 minute news segment that discussed the massive heat dome affecting the southwest... and I did it out of curiosity, wondering if the news anchor or the meteorologist would even bother to mention climate change as a factor.

Finally, after about seven minutes of back and forth, and after the meteorologist explained the problem with the jet stream, the anchor asked why the jet stream change had occurred?

The meteorologist blurted out that climate change had increased polar temps and as such the differential between the poles and the temperate latitudes had decreased dramatically..

The anchor nodded sagely, turned back to the camera, and started talking about staying indoors and using your air conditioning to protect from the heat.

An entire news segment on a major climate issue... and one single mention of climate change.
