If I wanted to play in the morass that's modern JavaScript and HTML and CSS development I'd be a mobile application developer.

I'd also have to leave Swift, which is one of the best languages I've come across in several decades worth of development.

Next, are you sure your users don't notice the difference? Or why, perhaps, you might have fewer users than you think?

Finally, you still need to leave your little world the instant you want to do something not supported by those platforms, or if you want to code widgets, or for the watch, or TV, or, for that matter, try to trace through some oddball bug in your cobbled-together toolchain.
