I'll have to disagree on that one. Very interested in seeing what comes along on the SMR front.
I'm all for as much green energy as we can get. But wind/solar are intermittent, and grid-storage has a finite capacity. Hit a bad patch of weather and you're out of luck.
Nuclear, for all of its warts, is a non CO2 emitting, non intermittent solution for baseload power, 24/7.
Then again, maybe Helion or one of the other fusion upstarts will make the conversation moot. ;)
