It was largely a story (or stories) that didn't need to be told and which added little to the Star Wars universe except a lot of inconsistencies.

Would really prefer new stories around new characters, like they did with Rogue One. Going back in time with existing characters kills most of the suspense.

I mean, we know Anakin and Obi-Wan are both alive years later, so really the most exciting thing here was watching to see how Disney was going to dig itself out of the plot holes it created for itself...
