It's obvious from several of your comments that you're not paying attention to advances in battery development and technology.

CATL, for example, is now producing a battery warranted for a million-miles. At 12,000 miles a year (US average), that's good over 80 years.

And so "expensive battery replacement" won't really be a thing. Or a concern.

Seen electric mining equipment? Operations are starting to integrate solar/battery power production, in effect producing their fuel onsite.

And so on.

You go on and on about "hand waving", but from my perspective you're just doing it from the other side and saying we can't go on doing things the same way.

And you're right about that.
