Mobile phones are now mature devices, and with the exception of making very expensive, overly fat, and easily damaged folding phones... I don't see a lot of "exciting" innovations from anyone.
Apple's still gaining market share in the US and worldwide, so I suspect they still know what they're doing. I'd also bet that when the 15 Pro Max/Ultra is available for order lead times are going to go out to December.

As for Nothing.... so "forward thinking" is some flashing lights on the back? Other than and (from the article) a very few software tweaks it's still pretty much a flat slab of screen, like 95% of all the other phones on the market.
