Mothers, you see, don't really want much. Little in exchange for all of the hard work and for all of the sacrifices they make each and every day for their children.

They want love, of course. And that's the easy part, for we all love our mothers.

But the hard part. The thing they crave. The thing that they desire most... is time.

Time with their children. Time together. Playing. Talking. Even something as simple as a late night dinner of blackened potatoes and grilled cheese. Just… time.

And that's often the thing we find hardest to give.

There are always reasons. Always excuses. Always something else that needs to be done.

Time.

My mother is gone now. I've had all of the time with her that I'm ever going to have.

And I'll always cherish those memories... always. But there could have been so many more.

Some of you have already lost your mothers, or fathers, and as such, you know what I mean.

But if you have not. If your mother is still alive... If your father is still alive.

Make some time for them. Go see them. If you're trying to decide between watching a rerun on TV, or talking to your mom on the phone... call.

You think you have forever. You don't. You think you can always call tomorrow. But that tomorrow may never come.

And on that day, which will come, you too, will wish you had spent just a little more time.
