My wife tells a story of people who lived in New Canaan who, during the last financial crisis, were bemoaning their "dire" situations. One was overheard to say, "Why, It's so bad I might even have to give up my jet!"
But that same person would laugh if someone told them that "they" were considered to be rich. "Rich? Me? Nope, we're just getting along. Now, Zack over there, HE'S got money. Has a house here, a condo in NYC, a yatch down in Miami, AND a challet in Aspen!"
Zach, in turn, would probably point to Bezos or Musk or Buffet. "Money? No. Not like those guys. Not even in the same league!"
