Sigh. The "free market" needed (and still needs) incentives to get them off the ground.

Tesla and the other EV automakers are growing in part because of the tax incentives that work to reduce the EV price disparity.

Soon that disparity won't be there, but we would never have gotten to that point as quickly as we did without the original incentives.
