Not buying your chart, primarily because I think it's selective in defining the "minerals" required.

Coal is the best example here, as they literally have to tear the tops off mountains in order to dig up the coal.

It might take fewer minerals to produce the coal plant in the first place, but that's dwarfed by the amount of material needed to keep it running, day in and day out.

And just for the record, that’s currently about 500 million tons of coal per year, or 1.4 million tons extracted, shipped, and burned each and every day.

Same for oil and gas drilling and supply.
