Not what I expected the story to be about, but a nice read nonetheless.

I'd be curious to learn just how long your commenter had been there, as I saw the same thing when I lived in Boulder. Everone wanted to live there, and then when they do they start throwing up roadblocks to limit access and the ability of others to do so.

Just more of the "I've got mine." mentality.
