Per your article, `"Today’s marketing authorization of an over-the-counter hearing aid software on a widely used consumer audio product is another step that advances the availability, accessibility and acceptability of hearing support for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss,” said Michelle Tarver, acting director of the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health in a statement on Thursday."`

It sounds to me [sic] like you just want to bang on Apple. (Which can cause hearing loss and [additional] cognitive impairment.)

Speaking of Apple, on the AirPods Pro 2 page, "The Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features are expected to be available fall 2024. The Hearing Aid feature is pending FDA authorization."

Which has a strict definition and guidelines.

Me, I'm very disappointed that people can't be bothered to do any homework whatsoever before they decide to rant...
