Re the monitor, I bought the Apple Studio Display and love it. It doesn't have quite as much real estate as my previous LG curved ultra wide, but it's tack-sharp and that's a godsend for my somewhat aging eyes.

Especially for something I sit in front of 6–8–10–12 hours almost every day of the year.
