Say what? Is there still oil and gas and iron and aluminum in the ground? We haven't "used up" a single planet's worth of resources, in fact, we've barely even scratched the surface.

Our economic system is based on the concept of increasing growth and that's bad, but that's also another problem. But, and as otherwise mentioned by another commenter, we're not into exponential growth curves.

Even population growth, which once looked exponential, tops off in a few decades due to declining birth rates.

Other assumptions ignore that fact that the Earth isn't a closed system. Energy comes in from the sun daily, and the excess heat and energy is radiated and/or reflected back into space.

The article is filled with such gross inaccuracies, all while claiming it's "basic" math and science.

Which the author apparently failed.
