So? All of those new EVs have to be driven for about three years before there's a net gain. Further, nuclear is pretty much baseload power, which doesn't care if the sun is shining or the wind is blowing.
We can reprocess waste to make new fuel, and I've seen it said that if all of the waste produced in the US since the '50s was gathered into a single spot, it would fit inside a typical WalMart Superstore.
