So we’ve got the sold/lost thing out of the way. Good.

With M1 everywhere, with iPad apps running on macOS, with cross-platform (iPadOS, macOS) apps built with SwiftUI, with Xcode in iCloud… I still think there’s a good 50/50 chance that we’ll see more platform convergence within the next couple of years.

True. Apple has said that they weren’t going to do that… but then again, Apple has said that they weren’t going to do a lot of things… right up until they changed their minds and started shipping larger phones and pencils and Books and so on.

Again, Apple doesn’t really care if it sells you a notebook or a tablet, just as long as it’s sold you something expensive and you didn’t go wandering off and buy a Surface computer from MS. And as pointed out, a tablet used for notebook work actually tends to need more accessories and services. With more equating to more profit for Apple.

Sorry. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
