Talk about spin. Promoting the idea that alternative energy solutions are a "big energy" conspiracy, and that inefficient hydrogen sources and efuels (of which we have no current means of efficient mass-production) should be the solution is a wonderful tailor-made proposition for maintaining the current status quo.

Which is exactly what "big energy" wants.

From my perspective, "big energy" is actually afraid of each and every person who puts solar on their roof and can charge their vehicle from it... as that person never again has to buy ANY fuel. Not gasoline. Not efuel. Not hydrogen. (The later two being solutions which again, "big energy" would also control.)

Same for the delivery company and shipping company who does the same.

Or even companies like LVNG, who ended up switching from hydrogen to electric trains that were cheaper to run, cheaper to buy, and cheaper to maintain.
