Tesla could get a new lease on life if the US ban on vehicles with Chinese software goes into effect.

This is going to dramatically affect Volkswagen, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, and others, and could even impact US manufacturers who've engaged in ties with Chinese companies and subsidiaries.

This could also affect battery pack manufacturers. Even if someone builds a plant in the US to make LFP batteries (whose designs were licensed from China), the BMS software would still need to be rewritten and sourced from a US company.
