The CyberTruck will follow the same rollout strategy and price cut trajectory as the Model 3/Y, primarily so Tesla can extract as much money at each price point as possible.
If the existing price is just out of range of a potential buyer, then a reduction places it in range and that buyer snaps it up. Rinse and repeat.
Orders start to overtake, raise the price again, just like Amazon's "dynamic" pricing.
IMO, that's also the reason we haven't seen the fabled $25,000 M2. People are still buying 3's and Y's and a 2 would just cannibalize some of those sales..
I realize that Tesla is a business, but I don't think they deserve praise for fleecing their customers out of every single dollar possible.
