The original Macintosh OS was made for the original 1984 Macintosh, and definitely has Steve's fingerprints on it.

What everyone knows as the current macOS, formerly Mac OS X, is has its roots in NextStep, the OS for the NeXT Computer... You know, that company Steve started when he left Apple.

So wrong, and wrong.
