The question, as always with stats like this, is how do you find that 10%?
Given how abruptly the process was handled, have you ever considered the idea that in randomly firing over half the workforce he just so happened to eliminate most (if not all) of that 10%?
Or that many of those who remained who were in that group (and knew it) decided to leave rather than submit to his pledge?
By your own logic, the company is trashed, with the majority of that oh-so-critical 10% already gone or leaving...
