The US currently accepts about one million immigrants per year, which equates to about 30 million per "generation".

Not so sure I'd call that "tiny".

So while its true that the "vast majority of Americans are born here", the odds of a given individual's roots being that deep might in fact be slimmer than you think.

To illustrate the point, you knew, of course, that Donald Trump's mother was an immigrant, and his father was born in the U.S. to a German immigrant?

That his wife Melania is also an immigrant?

Or that JD Vance's wife was also born to Indian immigrant parents?

And both of Kamala Harris's parents came to the U.S. for higher education and eventually immigrated and settled here, making her the daughter of two immigrants.

America is a melting pot, a country of immigrants... and about to be governed--one way or another--by the direct descendant of an immigrant.
