There are two types of people. Those who artificially divide people into two groups, and those who do not.

Regardless, I don't think you nailed either of your "camps".

Nor do I agree that the iPhone and the Apple Watch were "destined" to be a success. They only did so because, as mentioned, they gradually morphed into the devices that people wanted to buy.

If Steve had continued to insist that Web Apps were all people needed, or if Apple hadn't shifted the Apple Watch's focus to fitness, then I suspect that neither one would be the "success" we think of today.

Like the first iPhone and the first Apple Watch, the first Vision Pro isn't going to be a success either.

But it is a platform that Apple's going to iterate upon.

And they're pretty good at that.
