There's a lot of pretty wordplay at work here, but at the end of the day I'm still pretty certain that denying women access to necessary medical care is bad.
Just like I'm pretty sure that denying insurance claims in order to improve the corporate bottom line is bad.
And I'm pretty sure that judging someone solely on their race, gender, sexuality, or creed is bad. It reduces people to stereotypes and it perpetuates inequality and stifles progress.
I'm not ambivalent about that, either.
And I'm sorry, but my "closed, inflexible mind" isn't open towards someone beating the shit out of someone just because they're gay. Or trans. Or black.
There’s no room for ambivalence in the face of such clear ethical issues. A society built on fairness, compassion, and equal opportunity can’t afford to ignore these injustices.
Or be ambivalent to them.
