To me that just goes to show how *unsuited* the iPhone is to the task at hand. Especially with its one single port taken up by the drive.
Yes, you can capture "professional" video... but how do you get sound into the silly thing? Great video is nothing without great sound.

Yes, you can bolt on drives and USB-C hubs and extra batteries and adaptors and dongles into a Frankensteinian nightmare... but is that a good solution? Portable?
From my perspective their professional "camera" now needs better microphones, better integration with external wireless audio sources and as far as that goes it could really, really benefit from an additional USB-C port. Or even, heaven forbid, a phone jack.
Then again, some enterprising company could make a USB-C attached battery/drive with a passthrough USB-C port and phone jack.
