Ummm... Macintosh? iPad? Watch? Apple TV? Heck, even the original iPhone introduction was an exercise in trying to convince people why they really needed a smartphone over a standard, ordinary, everyday flip phone.

As to VR, it may be more like the initial Apple Watch release where they released it with a variety of features, and then noticed how many people were using it for sports and exercise tracking.

Or they may have something else in mind. Apple has a lot of technology to play with. Think about, say... some integration of virtual meetings and FaceTime, with LIDAR depth tracking and portrait mode thrown into the mix.

Or it may fall flat. Either way, I think Apple has enough legs under it to weather the launch of a single product that may not take off for several years. Or at all.
