University of Chicago psychologist, Jerre Levy, said: "In 1939, 2 percent of the population wrote with the left hand. By 1946, it was up to 7 1/2 percent. In 1968, 9 percent. By 1972, 12 percent. It's leveling off, and I expect the real number of left-handers will turn out to be about 14 percent."

In other words, left handed people were always there. It's just that today such behavior is no longer stigmatized.

Same for today's attitudes towards sexual identity. LBGTQ+ folk have always existed. It's just that today they're les stigmatized, more visible in society, and newer generations are more accepting than we once were.

And I don't think that is "f'd up".
