Visit your local Panera or Starbucks and take a look around. About half the people sitting at tables there are with other people and as such involved in the aforementioned "social interaction".

The other half are by themselves and in all probability will be busy interacting with a phone, tablet, or notebook. Can't remember the last time I saw someone there with a book (or at least one that wasn't a college textbook).

Regardless, if you're taking a tablet or notebook there, you can definitely take the AVP there.
