What I took exception with was the fact that the article suggested using this particular expression which “works most of the time.” Or perhaps more to the point, suggests using regex for this at all.
It’s my opinion that Medium articles on software development should encourage and follow best practices.
And suggesting that one use a faulty regex for validation, when it’s pretty much acknowledged by most of the experts in the field that one should not use regex for email validation at all — well, that pretty much fails in that regard.
