Which again underscores your lack of understanding of network effects.

f you and all of your friends are on Facebook or TikTok or X or wherever, then jumping to another platform might be easy for you... if you never want to speak to your friends ever again. Can you convince all of them to jump to the same platform? And their friends?

Not to mention losing a significant amount of history in posted messages, photos, and so on.

If the vast majority of searches appear on Google, can you afford to "jump ship" and not advertise there? No matter how shitty the deal?

If the vast majority of sales happen on Amazon, can you afford not to sell there? No matter how shitty the deal?

Enshitifcation means extracting as much value as possible from the most people as possible... while keeping the pain point just below mass migration.

And they're really good at that.
