While I totally agree that drive and determination and education and practice can take you far, I think the simple fact remains that--like it or not--some people are smarter that you are.

Yes, drive and determination and education and practice can take you further that someone who is gifted but doesn't use it... but should they apply the same exact principles to themselves, should they work as hard and study as hard and practice as hard... then they're simply going to operate at a higher level.

You're not going to deny that some people are taller than others. That some are faster. That some are stronger. Those things are self-evident.

So why deny that some people have innate mental talents and abilities?

None of that means that you can't be great and that you can't excel and you won't be successful.

But that doesn't change the fact that the "myth" isn't a myth at all.
