Why is this never brought up in regard to ICEs? Does the steel and aluminum and glass and copper and nickel and cobalt and platinum and lead used for an ICE just appear out of thin ai?

Forget the materials, do we also fail to mention the harm caused by searching and drilling for oil?. Shale and tar sands? Shipping and piping raw crude around the world? The energy and waste of refining it and shipping it once again to gas stations?

Repeating all of the above, each and every week, each and every year, for the lifetime of the vechicle?

Like Enrique's reaction to the "long tailpipe" argument, my reaction to the "materials" argument is usually sheer disbelief at the level of hypocrisy involved.
