Wrote about this awhile back. I basically consider anything created by ChatGPT or its ilk to be "regurgitated content."
Agree that anyone who's using it to create "content" is just basically in it for exposure. But again, as you mentioned, I'm not sure they're getting the exposure that they're expecting.
If I see an article that smells like ChatGPT I may, if I'm bored, check a few others to see if they're similar.
And if so, then I assume that the author has nothing worthwhile, new, or interesting of their own to share.
So I mute them.
