You’re correct in that we don’t know what we don’t know.

That said, several people have made the point that Apple could have put the M1 into the iPad Pro simply because they didn’t have much of an upgrade otherwise.

The previous generation iPad Pro was considered to be overpowered as well, and not a single one of Apple’s professional apps appeared during its lifetime either.

I’m hoping those apps are coming. They probably are. But like I said, I’ve stopped rolling the dice. So until they actually appear I’m keeping my money in my back pocket.
